After realising that I cannot possibly remember all of my 5 pages of references which are only going to grow, I know I face having to decide which way to go – I was put off refworks . . . my brain did not compute and so I have taken an irrational disliking for the software. Unfortunately I was naïve to think that doing it ‘old school’ would be without difficulty. I am hoping a 3rd way will present itself, perhaps an excel spreadsheet? I would ask for opinions but alas I do not have enough of a following on here, just random views. However if any of the random views can provide me an answer it would be greatly appreciated as my ability to control my references is steadily growing out of control.
Many Thanks,

Better late that never—I’m a big fan of Zotero. Beats refworks hands down. I can see only pain in trying to use Excel. https://www.zotero.org/
